The congress will take place from June 25 to July 1, 2023, in Kurdějov, South Moravia, Czech Republic.
The congress is jointly organised by the Department of Botany and Zoology of the Faculty of Science, Masaryk University in Brno, the Department of Entomology of the Moravian Museum in Brno, and the Department of Entomology of the National Museum in Prague, Czech Republic.
The European Hemiptera Congress (EHC 9) will accept scientific contributions (oral presentations and posters) on all groups of Hemiptera, covering all aspects of research, including systematics, taxonomy, phylogeny, morphology, physiology, molecular biology, cytology, ethology, bioacoustics, biotremology, ecology, conservation biology, biogeography, faunistics, palaeontology, applied research on pests, bioinformatics, and collection management. EHC 9 will immediately follow the 29th Central European Auchenorrhyncha Meeting (CEAM) co-organised by the ”Arbeitskreis Zikadenkunde, e.V.“ and held at the same venue from June 23 to 25, 2023. Both EHC 9 and CEAM are planned as face-to-face meetings (i.e. not virtual online or hybrid meetings).
